Supporting Actions

Stabilization and monitoring of heat treatment processes

• .Develop, implement, and monitor heat treatment processes (annealing, tempering, hardening, quenching, etc.) for various materials and components.
• .Develop methods to ensure the uniformity of temperature in furnaces in addition to full TUSs (through conductivity, hardness etc)
• Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot issues related to material defects, hardness, or distortion

Cost Efficiency

. Optimize processes to reduce costs

. Work on automation and optimization for faster cycle time and lower production costs

. Track process time and respective cost impact on components

Compliance and Standards

.Maintain and calibrate heat treatment equipment in accordance with NADCAP, AMS2750, ISO/TS standards (as applicable).

• Ensure compliance with metallurgical standards and customer specifications.
• Review material test reports (MTRs), microstructures, and hardness results to validate process outcomes.

Development of heat treatment cycles for various alloy grades

.Establish heat treatment cycle and procedures for existing products/alloys and define the limits of operation

• .Work closely with NPD and quality team to develop relevant heat treatment cycles for new products or customer requirements
• Rationalise established/multiple cycles for various products for process optimisation
• Supervise heat treatment operations, ensuring process consistency and safety.

Team Development

. Build capacity (knowledge, skill, and attitude) of O&M team and peers

. Stay abreast with the latest in surface finish technologies in manufacturing to become a go-to person in respective fields

. Foster a culture of Shillim and ALERT behaviors

Safety Management

. Identify and re-engineer processes for safe working conditions . Benchmark best practices in equipment for creating safe processes and systems . Review and monitor implementation of safety standards . Participate in review meetings and safety enquiry committees in case of accidents/near misses

Quality Improvement

. Improve product quality through process improvement based on customer feedback . Collaborate with customers and O&M team for internal audits and product qualification
