Job Description

In this position, your role is essential in upholding compliance with tax regulations and optimizing tax processes for employees on international assignments. This position is key in handling the tax consequences of global mobility and facilitating a smooth transition for employees across different countries. Your main objective is to reduce tax-related risks and costs, while ensuring that both the organization and its employees adhere to relevant tax laws.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Manager, you'll will lead a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. The skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

  • Review /Sign all types of UK individual income tax returns.
  • Demonstrate a high level of proficiency of tax technical knowledge.
  • Manage the engagement team -Set performance measurements and ensure that performance goals, including engagement economics, turnaround time and quality targets are met.
  • Identify and lead new services that the service line can perform at the VVN.
  • Develop, mentor, and supervise Associates & Senior Associates.
  • Demonstrate leadership and executive presence.
  • Communicate progress and project status to all stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of the firm policies related to confidentiality and data privacy, client acceptance and engagement letters, tax return preparer guidelines and knowledge-sharing.
  • Adhere to practice protocol and other internal processes consistently.
  • Create and lead the highest performing teams and inspire team members.
  • Lead by example and be a role model.
  • Develop new skills outside of comfort zone.
  • Act to resolve issues which prevent the team working effectively.
  • Coach others, recognize their strengths, and encourage them to take ownership of their personal development.
  • Analyze complex ideas or proposals and build a range of meaningful recommendations.
  • Use multiple sources of information including broader stakeholder views to develop solutions and recommendations
  • Address sub-standard work or work that does not meet firm's/client's expectations.
  • Use data and insights to inform conclusions and support decision-making.
  • Develop a point of view on key global trends, and how they impact clients.
  • Manage a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all to parties.
  • Simplify complex messages, highlighting and summarizing key points.
  • Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Commerce Graduate/Postgraduate, MBA.
  • 10+ years of experience in review/sign of UK Individual Tax returns, with overall 15+yrs of experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in leading teams, managing large engagements and responsible for quality control within the team.
  • Should have experience of working closely with foreign offices and clients.
  • Capability to guide and support team members with technical stands and queries.
  • Willingness to support team functions and experience in mentoring juniors in learning basic and new tax technical topics.
  • Work Location: Bangalore / Kolkata
