About The Opportunity

Tax Operations Specialists are our client's guide to the world of tax. In this role you would be key in helping our client's all the way through from customer setup, transmitting of their files to remitting, balancing and understanding their status with various tax agencies. This role serves as a liaison between our clients, internal departments within their business, payroll partners, Dayforce units and third-party vendors. This role is perfect for a team player who is detailed oriented, client focused, and payroll and tax minded. This is a deadline-driven role with limited coverage flexibility, so dependable attendance and punctuality are essential to meeting SLAs and maintaining service quality.

What You'll Get To Do

  • Provides client support and customer service on day-to-day payroll tax issues.
  • Ensures data and requests are processed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Responds to client requests by analyzing and resolving client issues, special projects and/or problem solving through identification and coordination of Dayforce resources.
  • Proactively identifies tactical approaches for ongoing client requirements.
  • May work actively with customers, internal business units, tax agencies, payroll partners and third-party vendors to build and maintain customer loyalty, retention, and satisfaction.
  • Uses Dayforce internal resources, service tools, and Salesforce to provide proactive support and high-quality customer service.
  • Must keep current on all major systems enhancements, jurisdictional changes and tax filing procedures
  • Takes ownership and accountability for resolution of ongoing client issues as they are identified.
  • Team player who takes responsibility to be a key contributor to help with building processes and best practices by sharing lessons learned, attending training, working with internal business partners and customers.

Skills And Experience We Value

  • Experience in payroll and customer support preferred.
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
  • High level of analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • PC Skills (Microsoft office suite, data entry, etc).

What Would Make You Really Stand Out

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education & experience
  • Experience providing over-the-phone service.
  • Experience in payroll an asset.
  • Basic SQL skills.
  • Training in basic accounting.
  • Advanced customer care skills and training.
  • Completion of CPA Payroll Compliance Legislation and Payroll Fundamentals.
