Role Overview
The role is responsible for managing direct tax compliance, assessments, and advisory matters for RK Group's e-commerce operations, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements and supporting tax-efficient business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle income tax compliance including return filings, advance tax computation, and tax audits
- Manage scrutiny assessments, income tax notices, and representation before tax authorities
- Support tax planning and advisory related to business transactions and restructuring, as required
- Oversee withholding tax (TDS) compliance, including deductions, filings, reconciliations, and resolution of mismatches
- Assist in transfer pricing compliances, including review of intercompany transactions, coordination for TP documentation, and liaison with consultants
- Coordinate with external tax consultants, auditors, and internal finance teams
- Monitor changes in tax laws and evaluate their impact on business operations
- Support management with tax-related MIS, reports, and compliance status updates
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of the Income Tax Act and related direct tax regulations
- Good understanding of corporate taxation, TDS provisions, and assessment procedures
- Basic exposure to transfer pricing concepts and intercompany transactions
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and coordinate across multiple stakeholders
Preferred Background
- Experience with Big 6 audit firms in Direct Tax domain preferred
- Prior exposure to e-commerce, digital, or technology-driven businesses will be an added advantage
