Kaufman Rossin is seeking a Tax Director to help lead our Tax practice in India office. This important role includes client relationships, technical tax compliance and consulting work, and managing staff. The position will report directly to the lead Tax Principal in the US.

Requirements

How You'll Contribute:

Technical:


  • Lead, review, and provide technical oversight on U.S. tax engagements across Corporate, Partnership, Individual, Estate & Trust, Real Estate, and International tax returns
  • Manage workflow, delegate tasks, and ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables
  • Partner with U.S.-based teams to support seamless execution and communication
  • Provide technical guidance and assist with tax research on complex issues
  • Act as a key liaison between India and U.S. teams to drive strong client outcomes

Team Leadership & Development


  • Lead and mentor Managers, Seniors, and Associates across service lines
  • Drive capability building, training programs, and succession planning
  • Ensure optimal resource allocation and utilization across engagements

Operational Excellence


  • Drive process improvements, standardization, and automation initiatives
  • Monitor KPIs such as turnaround time, quality scores, and utilization
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and risk management frameworks

Strategic Contribution


  • Identify opportunities for service expansion across tax domains in India
  • Contribute to organizational growth and practice building

What Skills You'll Bring:


  • CA / CPA (required)
  • 14+ years of experience in U.S. taxation. Prior experience in small to medium consulting/outsourcing firms preferred
  • Deep expertise in 3+ core tax areas, and Working knowledge across other domains
  • MS in Taxation preferred
  • Public Accounting experience required
  • Strong team player and a commitment to high quality, detailed work
  • Ability to deal with clients and possess executive presence
  • Strong computer skills, with experience in a paperless environment
