About the Role:

We are looking for aUS Tax Resolution & Compliance Specialistto assist businesses withtax penalty abatements, compliance issues, and IRS/state tax resolutions. The role involveshandling tax fines, filing abatement requests, negotiating with tax agencies, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and resolve tax penaltiesissued by IRS, state, and local tax agencies.
• 
  
• Prepare & submit penalty abatement requests(e.g., IRS Form 843).
• 
  
• Communicate with US tax authoritiesto negotiate waivers and resolve disputes.
• 
  
• Gather and submit supporting documentationfor appeals and compliance cases.
• 
  
• Stay updated onUS tax laws, penalty relief programs, and filing regulations.
• 
  
• Track & follow upon cases to ensure timely resolution.
• 
  

What You Need:

• 
  
• Bachelor s degreein Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 
  
• 1 5 yearsof experience inUS tax compliance, penalty resolution, or tax processing.
• 
  
• Familiarity withIRS and state tax laws, filing procedures, and penalty waivers.
• 
  
• Proficiency in tax software(Drake, TurboTax, ProSeries) & Microsoft Office.
• 
  
• Strongproblem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
