Job purpose

This position is responsible for assisting the Record to Report (R2R) team with various accounting processes, including

  • Journal Entry Processing
  • Account Reconciliations
  • Financial Reporting Support

Responsibilities

  • Support Record to Report (R2R) activities, including journal entry processing, account reconciliation, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements and accounting guidelines to prevent errors and compliance issues during processing.
  • Adhere to defined processes and timelines for reports and schedules, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Update and maintain dashboards to track the progress of R2R activities and the status of multi-country engagements.
  • Provide prompt and comprehensive responses to queries from clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills related to R2R processes.

Functional & Technical skills

  • Experience in Record to Report (R2R) processes, with expertise in at least one of the following areas:
    • Journal entry processing
    • Account reconciliations
    • Financial reporting support
  • Experience in process transition and adaptation to new systems or tools.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting processes.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS, US GAAP) is an added advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office packages.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft D365 or SAP (or similar financial systems).
  • Strong organizational skills, initiative, and commitment to quality work
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Motivated self-starter with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Fresh CA or CA intermediate with 1-4 years of relevant accounting experience
