Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Tandoori Cook to Indian Cook, located in Kolkata. The candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of Tandoori dishes and other Indian cuisine. Daily tasks include marinating and seasoning food, operating Tandoori ovens, ensuring food quality and presentation, maintaining a clean and hygienic workspace, and adhering to safety and health regulations. The candidate will also assist in menu planning and inventory management.
Qualifications
- Professional cooking skills specifically in Tandoori and other Indian cuisine preparation
- Experience in food marination and seasoning techniques
- Knowledge of operating and maintaining Tandoori ovens and other kitchen equipment
- Ability to ensure food quality and presentation meet restaurant standards
- Understanding and adherence to food safety and health regulations
- Good organizational skills and ability to manage inventory
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant culinary certification or degree is a plus
