Job Description

Help Build the Teams Creating Impact in the Climate Economy

cKinetics is a global sustainability and climate solutions firm working at the intersection of business, policy, finance and environmental markets. Our work supports companies, investors, governments, and other stakeholders navigating the transition to a low-carbon economy.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist who is excited by the opportunity to help build the teams driving this work forward.

This is more than a recruitment role. The people you identify and bring into cKinetics will contribute to work across sustainability, climate strategy, carbon markets, clean energy and climate finance. You will play an important role in helping us build the talent needed to create meaningful impact in the climate economy.

The Role

You will work closely with senior leadership and hiring managers to identify, attract and hire exceptional talent across cKinetics consulting, research and business teams.

From building talent pipelines and identifying high-potential candidates to managing the recruitment process and creating an excellent candidate experience, you will help ensure that cKinetics continues to attract people who are capable of solving some of the most important challenges in sustainability and climate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leadership and hiring managers to understand current and future talent needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from job postings and candidate sourcing through screening, interviews, offers and onboarding.
  • Proactively identify and engage high-quality candidates through professional networks, referrals, job platforms, social media and direct outreach.
  • Conduct talent mapping and targeted headhunting for specialized and hard-to-fill roles.
  • Build and maintain strong pipelines of active and passive candidates for current and future hiring needs.
  • Conduct initial candidate interviews and support hiring managers throughout the selection process.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and recruitment data and track progress across open positions.
  • Continuously improve sourcing strategies, recruitment processes and the candidate experience.
  • Support broader HR and people-related initiatives as required.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an ambitious and proactive talent professional with a strong ability to identify exceptional people, build relationships and bring the right talent into a growing organization.

A natural curiosity about people, businesses and the forces shaping the sustainability and climate economy is important. The role requires the ability to quickly understand what a team needs, identify the capabilities required and develop creative approaches to finding the right people, including candidates who may not be actively looking.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working directly with senior leaders, take ownership of their work and thrive in an environment where priorities move quickly and the quality of the people cKinetics hires matters.

Above all, this role is suited to someone motivated by the opportunity to contribute to something bigger by helping build a team working across sustainability, carbon markets, climate finance and the global transition to a low-carbon economy.

Qualifications and Experience

  • MBA or postgraduate qualification in Human Resources, Management or a related discipline.
  • Minimum five years of experience in talent acquisition, recruitment or executive search.
  • Experience recruiting for consulting, research, analytical or other specialized professional roles.
  • Strong experience in direct sourcing, talent mapping and engaging passive candidates.
  • Familiarity with recruitment channels and tools, including LinkedIn, job portals, referrals and professional networks.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple hiring processes while maintaining strong attention to detail and timelines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
