About The Role
We're looking for our first Talent Acquisition leader to build hiring from zero to one. This is not a coordination role. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who loves ambiguity, moves fast, and takes pride in closing outcomesnot just running pipelines.
You'll work directly with founders and early leaders to set the hiring bar, close exceptional talent, and build the foundation of a scalable recruiting engine.
What You'll Do
- Own hiring end-to-end for early, high-impact roles across engineering, product, and business
- Source and close for hard-to-fill roles; outbound is the default
- Partner closely with founders and hiring managers to define role clarity, tradeoffs, and hiring bar
- Diagnose funnel gaps (sourcing interviews offers) and fix them fast
- Balance speed with judgment under real hiring pressure
- Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managerspush back when needed with data and context
- Deliver a high-EQ, thoughtful candidate experience while selling the mission, team, and opportunity
What You'll Need
- 7+ years of hands-on recruiting experience with full ownership from kickoff to close
- Strong sourcing instincts; proven ability to hire without relying on inbound or agencies
- Startup or scale-up experience; comfort operating with minimal structure
- Execution-first mindset with a clear grasp of funnel metrics and hiring outcomes
- Crisp, clear, and persuasive written and verbal communication
- High ownership, reliability, and bias toward actionfounder-level accountability
