About The Role
Tableau Administration & Infrastructure Management
- Install, configure, and maintain Tableau Server across multi-node environments.
- Manage Tableau Cloud (Online) and its integrations with enterprise systems.
- Monitor server activity and usage statistics to identify performance enhancements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Tableau Server issues using logs, Tableau Repository, and monitoring tools.
- Manage Tableau Server upgrades and patching to ensure system stability and security
Performance Optimization & Data Integrations
- Identify and resolve Tableau dashboard performance issues, optimizing extract refreshes and queries.
- Integrate Tableau with diverse cloud (GCP, AWS Athena) and on-premises data sources.
- Work with development teams to ensure new features and integrations align with infrastructure capabilities.
Security, Authentication & Access Management
- Configure and manage SSO, Azure AD authentication, SCIM provisioning, and MFA.
- Implement and enforce role-based access control (RBAC) and security policies.
- User Support, Training & Governance
- Provide training and support to end-users on Tableau functionality and best practices.
- Create and manage custom administrative views using Tableau Repository data for user activity, license management, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure Tableau governance and best practices are followed.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Tableau Vendor for complex issue resolution and enhancements.
- Coordinate with business users, developers, and IT teams to ensure a smooth Tableau experience
