Systems Software Engineer - Platform Security (HPE Nonstop)

• Design enhancements, updates, and programming changes for hardware manageability software.
• Architect modular and extensible components for system configuration, hardware diagnostics, and remote management.
• Integrate software with platform firmware, OS-level services, and possibly cloud-based management consoles.
• Ensure high performance, reliability, and security of manageability interfaces.
• Collaborate and communicate with management, internal, and partners regarding software systems design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
• Represents the software systems engineering team for all phases of larger and more-complex development projects.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.

What you need to bring:

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Typically, 4+ years experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Expertise in multiple software systems design tools and languages.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Extensive working knowledge and experience in developing Enterprise level systems software products.
• Expertise in developing software usingC++ / Java
• Experience withCIM(Common Information Model) andWBEM(Web Based Enterprise Management) based Manageability and Monitoring tools likeHPE SIM, Nagiosetc
• Experience working onWBEM providers and XML
• Working knowledge ofSNMP
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language. Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at management levels.
