will ensure product quality and reliability by designing and executing comprehensive testing strategies for HPE storage offerings and integrated solutions. You will focus on uncovering defects, enhancing test automation, and validating integrations across platforms, while mentoring junior engineers and providing actionable insights to improve overall product performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion customer-focused testing practices to ensure quality and reliability.
- Design, implement, and execute robust test strategies for HPE storage products and integrated solutions.
- Validate integration feasibility with external applications and storage platforms.
- Analyze test results, debug failures, and drive issues to closure across QA, product management, and support teams.
- Provide input to functional and design specifications; contribute to design documentation.
- Identify test coverage gaps, raise defects, and implement upstream testing improvements.
- Document test strategies, workflows, and results; provide recommendations to engineering and leadership.
- Lead project teams of testers, coordinating with internal and outsourced partners to deliver cost-effective and high-quality validation solutions.
- Mentor less experienced engineers and guide them on testing methodologies and tools.
Education & Experience Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- 5-8 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or validation of enterprise-grade software systems.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Expertise in Storage Protocols: FC, iSCSI, NFS, SMB, S3
- Hands-on experience with cloud, storage, networking, and Kubernetes ecosystems
- Proficiency in virtualization platforms: VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, and enterprise backup solutions
- Advanced scripting skills in Python or Shell for test automation and efficiency
- Experience in analytics, AI application simulation, and workload generation for test validation
- Ability to design and execute test plans, debug issues, and automate testing workflows
