The Project Engineer will be responsible for executing DCS/PLC upgradation, migration, rip-and-replace type projects for Honeywell's installed base. This includes engineering, project management, and coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
Core Activities:
- Project Engineering & Execution:
- Lead DCS/PLC upgradation, migration, and rip-and-replace projects for Honeywell's installed base.
- Prepare detailed Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Perform C-KOM, site data collection, and input gathering.
- Develop FAT Documentation, including HDM, SDM, and FDS engineering documentation.
- Interpret and engineer systems based on inputs like IO index, PID, CE matrix, and HAZOP.
- Work on DCS/PLC/SCADA systems hardware, engineering, and architecture.
- Coordinate with factory for panel manufacturing and ensure on-time completion.
- Oversee pre-FAT and FAT testing for customer sign-off.
- Standardize engineering processes and ensure quality checks on deliverables.
- Project Management & Coordination:
- Communicate with customers/consultants for project correspondences.
- Collaborate closely with the project manager to drive projects based on revenue plans, billing plans, and cash collection.
- Execute projects along with IC (Installation and Commissioning) teams.
- Close out sites as per Honeywell's processes.
- Manage vendor selection, PR/PO, and follow-up for delivery.
- Prepare Contractor SOW (Scope of Work).
- Travel & Compliance:
- Required travel of 30% to 40% of the time.
- Adhere to ISO, HSE, and internal processes.
- Achieve change orders or service orders for out-of-scope jobs.
- Exposure to offshore platforms is an added advantage, with willingness to travel to offshore locations.
Technical Expertise:
- Platforms:
- DCS: Yokogawa, Emerson, ABB, Rockwell, GE, Honeywell.
- PLC/SCADA: Siemens, Rockwell AB, Schneider, GE Fanuc, Honeywell.
- Safety Systems: Experience with any safety systems.
- Windows Platforms: WIN 2003 Server, WIN 2008 Server, WIN XP, WIN 7.
- Office Applications: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Projects, SAP.
