- Systems Engineer Mechanical
This is for a systems engineering (SE) position responsible for Systems design, system level requirements study, Requirement Decomposition Assessment(are the requirements flowed correctly), completeness and correctness checks, General technical requirements (GTR) Completeness/Correctness Checks, Change Package Incorporation into DOORS
Specific responsibilities include:
- Working as Systems Engineer in Aerospace OEM
- Usage of any requirement management tools such as IBM DOORS
- Evaluation of customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, functional requirements and regulatory requirements.
- Resolves cross-functional technical issues.
- Present requirement, design and/or development revision and changes to formal change boards.
Skills Required:
- Knowledge in flight controls, propulsion, Mechanical/Hydraulic systems/Cabin or any other systems
- Experience in developing and writing technical requirements
- Experience in validating technical requirements per ARP4754 A Standard
- Knowledge of DO 160, FAA certification and airworthiness requirements.
- Experience in defining and managing product interfaces
- Expertise in analyzing and decomposing requirements to lower-level specifications
- Exposure to complex systems architectures and how an architecture relates to requirements
- Demonstrated ability to consider the product holistically (systems thinking), including how it interacts with its environment, users and other systems.
- Experience in working with suppliers or other external stakeholders is desirable
- Strong Written, verbal communication with engineers, management, and non-engineering support staff
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Engineering degree, Preferably in Mechanical Engineering with up to 6-10 years / Master's degree, with up to 5-8 years related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
