About Us
Join a team that is redefining the accessibility of space. Azista space is a transformative force in the global aerospace sector, uniquely positioned at the intersection of indigenous innovation and industrial scalability. Operating India's first private-sector satellite mass-production facility in Ahmedabad, we have bridged the gap between complex engineering and high-volume manufacturing.
As a vertically integrated leader, we provide end-to-end solutions from the precision design of satellite buses and advanced payloads to mission management and communication systems. We don't just build hardware, we are democratizing the final frontier by providing global clientele with the cost-effective, high-performance technology needed to power the next generation of orbital missions. At Azista, you won't just be starting a job, you'll be fuelling the future of space exploration.
Role Overview:
Azista Space is seeking a Systems Engineer with a strong background in electronics, RF and avionics to contribute to the design, integration, and testing of advanced spacecraft systems. This role requires knowledge in spacecraft electronics, including power systems, avionics, RF Systems, communication interfaces, and radiation-hardened designs. You will work across the mission lifecycle, collaborating with subsystem teams to ensure robust and efficient satellite systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and integrate spacecraft power distribution, avionics, RF and communication electronics in line with spacegrade and EMI/EMC standards.
- Define system architecture and perform tradeoff studies, optimising mass, power and data budgets for electronic subsystems.
- Lead HIL/SIL, functional and environmental tests (EMI/EMC, vibration, shock, TVAC) for spacecraft electronics and avionics.
- Perform radiation and reliability analysis (TID, SEE, derating, FMECA/FMEA, WCA) and select components suitable for the space environment.
- Implement and integrate FPGAbased and embedded systems (VHDL/Verilog, microcontrollers) and standard space buses (I2C, SPI, CAN, UART, SpaceWire, MILSTD1553).
- Ensure seamless integration of electronics with EPS, OBDH, ADCS, propulsion and communication subsystems, resolving interface issues with crossfunctional teams.
- Support launch campaigns, LEOP and inorbit commissioning; contribute to anomaly investigation and corrective actions for electronics and avionics.
- Prepare and maintain ICDs, CONOPS, V&V plans, design specifications, test plans and review material (SRR/PDR/CDR) in line with internal and agency standards.
Essential Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience in satellite or spacecraft systems engineering with strong focus on electronics, avionics and power systems.
- Solid understanding of PCB design, FPGAbased systems, RF systems, FMECA/FMEA, EMI/EMC compliance and avionics software integration.
- Handson exposure to MATLAB/Simulink and circuit simulation tools (e.g., SPICE), preferably with space or aerospace applications.
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Aerospace, or related discipline; Master's degree is an advantage.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work with multidisciplinary internal teams and external stakeholders
Nice to Have (Electronics Focus):
- Experience with smallsat/microsat electronics, COTS for space, and relevant ISRO/ESA/ECSS or MILSTD standards.
- Proficiency with industry EDA tools (Altium, KiCad) and scripting (Python/MATLAB) for test automation and data analysis.
