Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Systems Engineer with deep expertise in AWS infrastructure administration, Kubernetes (EKS), and cloud migrations. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, building, operating, and migrating highly available, secure, and scalable cloud platforms. This role requires strong hands-on experience, excellent troubleshooting skills, and close collaboration with engineering and development teams.

What you will be responsible for:

• Design, build, and operate AWS infrastructure across EC2, ECS, and EKS environments
• Lead and execute migration of workloads from AWS ECS and EC2 to Kubernetes (EKS)
• Set up, configure, and manage servers, networking, storage, and cloud services in AWS
• Build next-generation infrastructure to support new business and technology initiatives
• Quickly diagnose and resolve issues across multiple functional areas (server, network, storage, application)
• Provide operational support for Security, Compliance, and Governance requirements
• Execute Change Management tasks across Production, UAT, and Development environments
• Contribute to ongoing initiatives focused on Maintainability, Performance, Scalability, and High Availability
• Monitor system and application performance and recommend continuous improvements
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and operations using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Work closely with Engineering and Development teams to deliver resilient and highly available platforms
• Participate in on-call rotations and perform planned weekend maintenance activities when required

Mandatory skills / experience:

• 13+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, or DevOps roles
• Strong hands-on experience administering AWS cloud infrastructure
• Proven experience with Kubernetes, including AWS EKS, and strong familiarity with ECS and EC2, API Gateway, CloudFront and various AWS Services.
• Experience leading or contributing to ECS / EC2 to EKS migration initiatives
• Strong scripting and programming skills using Python, Bash, and Terraform
• Solid Linux system administration experience (preferably Amazon Linux)
• Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/UDP, Load Balancers, NAT, Firewalls, VPCs, routing)
• Excellent troubleshooting skills across kernel, OS, application, and network layers
• Strong experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code in cloud environments

Additional requirements / Good to have skills:

Experience with Docker and containerized workloads

Hands-on experience with DevOps and Kubernetes ecosystem tools, such as:

• ArgoCD
• KEDA
• Fluentd / logging and monitoring stacks

Experience running and troubleshooting Java-based applications in production environments

Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation

Familiarity with cloud security best practices and compliance controls
