Summary:
The Systems Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining directory services and Unix systems, ensuring their optimal performance and availability. This role involves troubleshooting user and system issues, managing LDAP instances, and overseeing the Kerberos infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Microsoft Active Directory or Oracle Unified Directory, Unix administration, and a working knowledge of Puppet and SSSD.
Responsibilities:
- Manage OUD/OSDEE instances in various environments including DCGs and CCGs, ensuring build, deploy, and patching processes are efficiently executed.
- Oversee the Kerberos infrastructure management in specific environments.
- Configure and manage load balancers associated with LDAP and Kerberos using Skynet.
- Ensure the health and synchronization of production clusters, including SSL certification management and OS patching.
- Provide 24x7x365 support for production and Q&A environments, addressing on-call requests and monitoring LDAP instances to meet uptime SLAs.
- Manage service accounts not covered by IAM and gather KPI and LDAP volume reports using Splunk.
- Configure Cfengine and Puppet modules for OS images, ensuring appropriate LDAP configurations.
- Complete ongoing projects such as transitioning GCP Development to OUD Proxy and building out GCP LDAP Production instances.
Requirements:
- Expertise in Microsoft Active Directory or Oracle Unified Directory or similar directory services.
- Strong Unix administration skills.
- Working knowledge of Puppet and SSSD.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for resolving user and system issues.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with load balancer configuration and management.
- Familiarity with SSL certification management and OS patching.
- Knowledge of KPI and LDAP volume reporting using Splunk.
