Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain Red Hat OpenShift clusters in on-premises and/or cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Automate provisioning and scaling of OpenShift infrastructure and applications using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines and container registries to support DevOps workflows.
  • Monitor performance, availability, and security of container workloads and underlying systems.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to OpenShift components (pods, services, nodes, networking, ingress/egress).
  • Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Splunk.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, security, and application teams to define container best practices.
  • Maintain cluster security, including RBAC policies, TLS, secrets management, and vulnerability scans.
  • Participate in incident response, capacity planning, and performance tuning.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3–6 years of experience in Linux/Cloud/DevOps engineering, with 2+ years in OpenShift or Kubernetes platform management.
  • Proficiency in OpenShift 4.x, including Operators, Helm, Templates, and Routes.
  • Solid understanding of containers and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Tekton, or ArgoCD.
  • Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, or other IaC tools.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages.
  • Knowledge of networking, firewalls, load balancing, and DNS in cloud environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration (EX280) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud OpenShift deployments (on-prem + public cloud).
  • Understanding of DevSecOps, image scanning tools (e.g., Trivy, Aqua, Prisma Cloud).
  • Experience with service mesh (Istio, Linkerd) and API gateways (Kong, Ambassador).
  • Familiarity with GitOps practices and tools.
