Role: Architect / Principal Engineer - System Engineering

About the Job: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented System Engineer to join our team. As a System Engineer specializing in Level 3 requirements, you will be responsible for eliciting, analyzing, and documenting detailed system requirements to support the development of complex systems. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Roles & Responsibility: -

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand high-level system requirements and decompose them into detailed Level 3 requirements.
Elicit and analyze detailed system requirements using various techniques such as interviews, workshops, and document analysis.
Define and document functional and non-functional requirements, including performance, reliability, security, and usability aspects.
Ensure that Level 3 requirements are clear, complete, and unambiguous, with appropriate traceability to higher-level requirements.
Conduct feasibility studies and impact assessments to evaluate the technical and operational implications of proposed requirements.
Work closely system architects, software developers, and other team members to ensure alignment between Level 3 requirements and system design.
Collaborate with the testing team to review the test cases and ensure that the test case covers the specified requirements.
Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance to ensure the effective implementation of Level 3 requirements.
Monitor and track changes to Level 3 requirements throughout the system development lifecycle, ensuring proper configuration management.
Participate in customer meetings and provide technical support during requirement clarification and validation sessions.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives related to requirements engineering and documentation.

Desired Profile: -

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Telecom Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Proven experience in the Telecom Domain with an in-depth working knowledge on the different protocols and standards involved.
Proven experience as a System Engineer, Requirements Engineer, or in a similar role, with a focus on detailing Level 3 requirements.
Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices.
Familiarity with requirements management tools (e.g., IBM DOORS, Jama, or similar).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex problems into manageable components.
Solid understanding of software development processes and lifecycle models.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Must be a self-starter and proactive, and enjoy taking the initiative
Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality deliverables.
Highly passionate, responsive and action driven.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to communicate clearly and precisely with customers and internal stakeholders (peers, subordinates, managers, and executives)

Technical skills:

Must have good knowledge of call flows for SS7 (SCCP/TCAP/MAP and CAP) / Diameter / GTP / SIP / 5G networks (at least 2 or 3 protocols) and Telecom standards.
Must have good understanding of micro-services/containers/cloud-native architecture. Knowledge of Kubernetes/OpenStack platform will be useful.
Must have knowledge on Data Analytics.
Know-how of Layer 2 / 3 networking concepts such as VLANs, IP routing, etc.
