Job Summary
Job Description System Engineer
We are seeking a System Engineer with 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience in IT Infrastructure Management. The role involves managing IT hardware, asset lifecycle, and Microsoft cloud & security platforms including Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft 365 (O365), Archival & Retention Policies, Exchange Online mail administration, and SharePoint backup, along with overall system administration across Windows, Linux, and Mac environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux systems
- Manage daily IT infrastructure operations and ensure system availability
- Oversee IT hardware procurement, deployment, maintenance, and asset tracking
- Maintain IT asset inventory, documentation, and lifecycle records
- Administer Microsoft 365 (O365) services including user, license, and access management
- Configure and manage Microsoft Intune for device enrollment, compliance, configuration profiles, and app deployments
- Implement and manage Windows Autopilot for zero-touch device provisioning and lifecycle management
- Enforce endpoint security using Microsoft Defender (AV, EDR, threat protection)
- Administer Exchange Online mailbox management, mail flow rules, and security configurations
- Implement and manage email archival and retention policies
- Manage Mail and SharePoint Online backup and restoration solutions
- Administer Entra ID (Azure AD) including Conditional Access and MFA
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy configurations
- Implement security baselines, patch management, antivirus, and firewall policies
- Troubleshoot hardware, OS, network, and enterprise application issues
- Monitor logs, security alerts, and incident responses
- Coordinate with vendors, OEMs, ISPs, and cloud service providers
- Maintain IT SOPs, documentation, and compliance records
- Support audits, security compliance, and disaster recovery planning
- Handle employee onboarding and offboarding activities
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- 34 years of experience in System / Infrastructure Administration
- Hands-on experience in IT infrastructure and hardware management
- Strong experience with Microsoft 365 (O365) administration
- Hands-on expertise in Microsoft Intune & Windows Autopilot
- Experience with Microsoft Defender security suite
- Knowledge of email archival, retention, and compliance policies
- Experience managing Exchange Online environments
- Familiarity with SharePoint Online backup and recovery
- Experience with Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell / Bash preferred)
- Familiarity with backup and monitoring tools
- Good communication and documentation skills
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
- Exposure to DevOps tools or automation
- Certifications such as MCSE, MCSA, RHCSA, Azure Administrator, or AWS
