Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated Engineer II - Systems to support system lifecycle activities including requirements engineering, system architecture, integration coordination, and verification & validation planning, with a focus on the development, integration, and deployment of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) systems.

This role contributes across the engineering lifecycle, supporting both product development and field deployment activities.

The ideal candidate will have strong fundamentals in Systems Engineering principles, experience working in cross-functional engineering environments, and hands-on exposure to complex engineered systems. A strong interest in UAV and autonomous systems, along with the ability to work effectively in a structured engineering development environment, is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Systems Engineering Execution

  • Support system requirements development, decomposition, and traceability
  • Assist in defining system architecture and interface definitions
  • Participate in system design reviews and technical discussions
  • Support configuration and change management activities

Integration & Verification Support

  • Support system integration planning and execution tracking
  • Assist in verification strategy definition (Test / Analysis / Inspection / Demonstration)
  • Support test readiness activities and procedure reviews
  • Support anomaly tracking, root cause analysis, and corrective action closure

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with hardware, software, test, and program teams
  • Support customer / stakeholder technical interactions when required

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in:
  • Aerospace Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Systems Engineering
  • Or related discipline
  • 2-5 years experience in Systems Engineering, Integration or related role

Required Skills

  • Understanding of Systems Engineering lifecycle (V-Model preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of requirements engineering and management
  • Experience working in cross-functional engineering teams
  • Basic understanding of UAV subsystems:
  • Flight Control Systems
  • Navigation (GNSS / INS basics)
  • Data Links / Communication Systems
  • Payload Integration concepts
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills

Preferred / Good to Have

  • Exposure to UAV / Aerospace / Robotics domain
  • Understanding of system safety basics (FMEA / FHA exposure is a plus)
  • Experience supporting field deployment or customer site activities
  • Basic scripting or data analysis exposure (Python / MATLAB is a plus)
  • Aircraft performance engineering
  • Developmental flight testing experience
