System Engineer

System Engineer responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing IT systems and infrastructure to ensure reliable and efficient system performance. Role focuses on configuring servers, monitoring system health, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting infrastructure that powers business applications and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and system infrastructure
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of critical systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and system-related issues
• Manage system upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities
• Support network and server infrastructure across the organization
• Maintain system security, access controls, and data protection practices
• Document system configurations, processes, and operational procedures
• Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to support system deployments and improvements
• Monitor system logs and identify potential performance or security risks

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in system administration or system engineering roles
• Strong knowledge of operating systems such as Linux or Windows Server
• Experience managing servers, system infrastructure, and IT environments
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies and system monitoring tools
• Understanding of networking fundamentals and security practices
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or similar
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Familiarity with automation tools and infrastructure management practices
• Experience supporting enterprise IT environments
