Job Overview:

The System Administrator's purpose is to maintain the servers, computer systems, hardware & software, printers & scanners and other peripherals of the clients, ensuring that they run smoothly and providing technical support and advice to computer users by answering calls and/or emails.

Responsibilities:

Performing support and troubleshooting for different Cloud Technologies (Microsoft Azure, Office 365, MS

SharePoint, etc.).

Performing support and troubleshooting for different security platforms, anti-virus, and malware.

Create, change, and delete user accounts per request.

Conduct basic to intermediate server troubleshooting and setup.

Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.

Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.

Develop, maintain, and document installation and configuration procedures.

Perform basic network troubleshooting and triage.

Maintain facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers as well as

printers (local and network printers).

Maintain network servers such as file servers, VPN gateways, and intrusion detection

Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, firewalls, smartphones, software deployment, security

updates, and patches.

Other jobs as assigned by the supervisor/manager.

Amenable to work in EST Time Zone.

Qualifications

At least a College/Bachelor's Degree; Computer Engineering, IT, or any related course (Electronics

Engineering or IT degree is a plus)

At least 6-8 years of solid work experience in related industry, preferably in MSP

With good verbal and written English communication skills

Has the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical person

Certification in Microsoft, Windows, Cisco, or Symantec is a big plus

Experience and knowledge of basic Windows OS troubleshooting and configuration is a must

Experience and knowledge of basic Mac OS troubleshooting and configuration is an advantage

Experience and knowledge with different security platforms, anti-virus, and malware (Symantec Endpoint

Protection, Windows Defender, etc.) is a plus

Experience and knowledge with the following technology is a huge advantage: Microsoft Azure, Office

365, Microsoft, SharePoint, ConnectWise

Can work on different shifts and occasional scheduled weekend shifts

Amenable to providing on-call support and rendering overtime during events that require backup support
