System Administrator - L2

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Server Management

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers (on-prem & Azure VMs).
• Manage virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Azure Virtual Machines).
• Monitor and optimize system performance and uptime.

Azure & Cloud Administration

• Deploy, configure, and manage Microsoft Azure services including:
• Azure Virtual Machines
• Azure Active Directory (Entra ID)
• Azure Storage Accounts
• Azure Backup & Site Recovery
• Azure Networking (VNet, NSG, Load Balancer, VPN Gateway)
• Manage hybrid infrastructure (on-prem AD integration with Azure AD).
• Implement Azure security policies, RBAC, Conditional Access, and MFA.
• Monitor cloud resources using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
• Optimize Azure cost management and resource utilization.

Identity & Access Management

• Manage Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP.
• Handle Azure AD, user provisioning, and access controls.
• Configure Single Sign-On (SSO) and identity federation.

Network & Security Management

• Monitor LAN/WAN/VPN performance.
• Configure and maintain firewalls and network security rules.
• Implement patch management and vulnerability remediation.
• Ensure compliance with security best practices and IT policies.

Backup & Disaster Recovery

• Perform regular backups and test restore procedures.
• Manage Azure Backup and disaster recovery planning.
• Develop and maintain business continuity documentation.

Automation & Support

• Automate tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Bash scripting.
• Provide Level 2/3 support for infrastructure-related issues.
• Maintain system documentation and architecture diagrams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).
• 6+ years of experience as a System Administrator in hybrid environments.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure administration.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server and Linux systems.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
• Good understanding of networking concepts and cloud security principles.
• Experience with monitoring tools and backup solutions.
• Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305) preferred.
