Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented System Administrator (L1) to support daily IT operations and ensure smooth functioning of systems and end-user environments. The role involves handling L1 support activities, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining IT infrastructure with a focus on performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
System Administration & Support
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows systems and basic server environments
- Monitor system performance and ensure uptime and availability
- Apply patches, updates, and basic security configurations
Network Support (Basic)
- Troubleshoot LAN/Wi-Fi connectivity issues
- Assist users with network access and VPN-related problems
- Escalate complex network issues to higher support teams
End-User Support & IT Operations
- Provide L1 support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals
- Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues
- Manage and track support tickets within SLA timelines
- Configure and deploy systems for new joiners
- Handle onboarding and offboarding IT activities
- Coordinate with vendors/OEMs for hardware issues
- Maintain IT asset inventory and software/license records
Growth & Process Improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve IT processes
- Gain hands-on experience in system and network operations
- Contribute to operational efficiency and documentation
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
- Understanding of networking concepts (LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN)
- Experience in desktop support / IT helpdesk / system administration
- Familiarity with ticketing tools and SLA management
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to handle L1 support tasks independently
