Elevate is recruiting a
System Administrator for our Information Technology team. As the System Administrator, you will be part of the Infrastructure Engineering Team (L2) which supports all server-related requirements from build, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Specifically, The System Administrator Will
- Be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the server infrastructure.
- Ensure escalations of server and infra-related issues are addressed.
- Implement changes requests under the instructions of L3 engineering team.
- Work on special projects delegated by L3 engineering team.
- Mentor junior members of the IT team.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting on server and infrastructure issues.
- Work with L3 engineering team on evaluating and implementing new technologies.
- Maintain good working relationships with all service providers and vendors to ensure that services received meet expected requirements of contract.
- Ensure technical documentation is updated and new documents are created on standard processes.
- Perform regular server backups and weekend maintenance work.
- Support security investigations during security incidents
Skills For Success
- Understanding of continuous improvement processes with the capability to assist in the design and implementation of these systems.
- Ability to make recommendations and lead to adoption of process change.
Technical Skills
- Have hands-on experience in building Windows servers and/or domain controllers.
- Strong fundamentals in Windows Server, UNIX/Linux or Ubuntu Servers, DNS, DHCP, and AD.
- Strong fundamentals in Active Directory concepts.
- Should be able to read server logs (Windows/Linux/Ubuntu).
- Experience in AWS or Azure or GCP administration.
- Office 365 basic to mid-level administration, and Exchange Server Administration.
- Windows and Ubuntu/Linux Server monitoring experience.
- Experience in administration of Microsoft technologiesTeams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Yammer.
- PowerShell intermediate level.
- Scripting/Programming background (desirable).
- Strong virtualization experience including, but not limited to, Hyper-V, VM Ware, Citrix Xen App, AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Cloud server technology on MS Azure, AWS infrastructure, and Google cloud platform.
- Configuration of SAN, NAS, DAS Storage, EMC storage.
Experience
- 4+ years experience in system monitoring, system and/or network administration.
- Experience with incident ticketing systems, workstation management systems and desktop imaging.
- Experience in incident management and root cause analysis.
- Experience in migrating from on premises to cloud would be an added advantage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- MCSE and other certifications desirable but not required.
