Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for an experienced Sybase ASE and IQ Administrator in Bengaluru, with partial flexibility to work remotely. The role involves the administration of Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) and IQ databases, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning. The candidate will monitor database environments, ensure data security, apply patches, and troubleshoot issues to maintain high availability and optimal performance.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in managing Sybase ASE databases, including installation, configuration, and performance tuning
- Experience with Sybase IQ database administration, applied maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Understanding of database security, high availability, and backup/recovery mechanisms
- Hands-on experience with database scripting and automation tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Ability to work in a hybrid setup with strong time-management and communication skills
- Relevant certifications in Sybase ASE or database administration are a plus
- Experience in the IT services or consulting industry is preferred
