Job Description

Who we are looking for

The DMC India head is accountable for managing the DMC workforce in the India region, split across Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Mumbai. The India SVP for DMC manages both regional and global technical leads for DMC business functions and strategic vendor relationships and resources. The DMC India head works closely with the entire DMC leadership team to execute technology strategy and achieve OKRs, Risk and Financial management objectives, and to promote innovation in region that furthers performance and strategic goals.

What you will be responsible for

The India DMC head is responsible for strategic workforce planning, including the mix of strategic partners, insourcing, pipeline recruitment, career coaching, skilling, building end-to-end execution capabilities in region, and ensuring that top talent is coached into global leadership positions where feasible. The DMC India head also liaises closely with the DMC head of China to maximize productivity and effectiveness of DMC teams operating out of Asia. The India DMC head partners with the DMC Global CIO to maximize the effectiveness of the team globally.

The DMC India head also works closely with the State Street India CEO in ensuring that regional expansions of the business and technology capabilities are successfully planned and executed. The DMC India head partners closely with regional business heads in the India region, including GM Operations, GHR, Legal, Finance, Treasury, and Billing to ensure alignment and fit-for-purpose solutioning. The DMC head also develop strategic partnerships with regional vendors, innovators, universities, and community programs that advance technical excellence.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years hands on technology development experience in financial services
  • Computer science or Engineering degree preferred
  • Strong financial and risk management skills
  • Innovation and productivity mindset to maximize ROI and competitive advantage
  • Solid track record in active management of a large global workforce
  • Demonstrated ability to iteratively improve resource skill mix and productivity
  • Ability to manage global initiatives and functions in region
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills
  • Prefer candidates with experience managing large global teams both from the U.S. and India
