We work in a uniquely collaborative model across the firm and throughout all levels of the client organization, generating results that allow our clients to thrive.

What You'll Do

BCG has set an industry-leading net zero commitment that requires rigorous measurement systems, trusted reporting, and scalable operational processes. As a Sustainability Senior Analyst, you will play a critical supporting role within BCG's Global Internal Sustainability Team, working closely with the Sustainability Data & Analytics Manager to help operationalize the firm's carbon reduction program.

You will contribute to the build-out, maintenance, and continuous improvement of sustainability data systems, providing analytical and operational support to ensure accurate, transparent, and actionable greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions insights. You will partner closely with BCG's Data Tribe and technical product teams to operationalize tools, integrate data sources, and promote adoption across global stakeholders.

You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the implementation of systems and processes to gather, process, and validate complex GHG emissions data at scale
  • Assisting in integrating data sources and manage automated data pipelines using tools such as Snowflake, DBT, and Airflow
  • Developing and maintaining interactive dashboards (e.g., Tableau) to track progress toward carbon reduction goals
  • Executing routine data quality assurance checks to maintain a reliable single source of truth
  • Supporting the annual carbon footprint calculation and the external audit of GHG emissions data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery
  • Preparing documentation, SOPs, and reference materials to support robust operational processes
  • Providing ad-hoc quantitative and analytical support to ongoing sustainability strategy and program work

YOU'RE GOOD AT (ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)

  • Working collaboratively and delivering high-quality, detail-oriented analytical work
  • Managing multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail
  • Communicating clearly and proactively with stakeholders across geographies and functions
  • Applying a structured, logical approach to problem solving in data-heavy environments
  • Exercising strong judgment around data quality, accuracy, and consistency
  • Building strong working relationships and supporting change adoption across a diverse global audience

What You'll Bring

Must-have technical experience:

  • Fluency in SQL and hands-on experience with cloud-based enterprise data tools such as Snowflake and DBT
  • Demonstrated experience building complex, enterprise-grade dashboards in Tableau or similar analytics platforms
  • Experience working with large and complex data sets to support accurate reporting
  • Strong understanding of ETL processes and working with APIs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including drafting technical documentation

Preferred qualifications:

  • Familiarity with greenhouse gas accounting principles and sustainability reporting frameworks
  • Experience with BCG systems such as SAP, Workday, or ChromeRiver
  • Advanced Excel skills (PowerQuery, VBA, macros, advanced functions)
  • Experience using JIRA or similar project management tools

Who You'll Work With

You will report directly to the Sustainability Data & Analytics Manager and work closely with BCG Sustainability Director for Measurement and Reporting. You will engage regularly with BCG's Data Tribe and other key data and product owners across BCG. You will also work with external vendors from Quantis and CO2AI on annual reporting tasks.
