Your role, your entry point at AFRY
As a member of the Sustainability Services Finland at AFRY, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects in that will make a real impact. Through the Design Center you will collaborate with a team of highly skilled professionals in Finland, use the latest standards and tools, and play a pivotal role in delivering efficient solutions for our clients. It is important that you are a team player that like to work in teams with different competences and that you are curious and eager to learn new things.
About The Team In Finland
In Finland we currently have about 150 environmental experts in the Environment Business Unit with various backgrounds and responsibilities. The sustainability services team, where you would be located in, works with a wide scope of assignments dealing with climate mitigation and climate risks, circular economy, climate proofing, biodiversity, EDDs and IFI E&S assignments. In general, we work in teams of few persons from the Environmental Business Unit, often together with larger teams from a technical segment depending on the sector of the project. Our consultants have a typical workload of 2-5 ongoing projects.
Job Description
Your key responsibilities
- GHG calculations as part of ESIAs, EPD calculations, Emission calculations in mostly Nordic and international IFI projects
- Reporting of the GHG calculation results according to the required standards
Qualifications
We expect that you have
- A Qualified Degree in Environmental sciences or Environmental Engineering from a reputed College
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in different GHG calculations based on international standards
- Good written and verbal English language (CEFR minimum level C1)
- A good knowledge of working in all applications of MS Office, especially the MS Excel and MS Word
Additional Information
We appreciate if you have
- Experience of working with project abroad, especially projects in the Nordics
- Working knowledge of GHG calculation software(s)
