Job Description

Key Result Areas (KRA)	Supporting Actions / Responsibilities
Execution & Supervision of Electrical Works	. Supervise installation of HT/LT systems, transformers, MCCs, PCCs, VFDs, cable trays, and field cabling . Ensure execution as per approved drawings, electrical codes, and project specifications . Manage execution in brownfield conditions with live equipment and time-bound shutdowns
Electrical Safety & Statutory Compliance	. Enforce electrical safety practices, LOTO procedures, and permit-to-work systems . Ensure earthing, insulation, and shock protection measures are implemented correctly . Support compliance with CEA, local electrical inspectorate, and statutory norms
Quality Assurance & Inspection	. Conduct inspections for cable laying, termination, panel installation, and earthing works . Verify test certificates (IR, continuity, hipot, commissioning tests) . Ensure closure of punch points and non-conformities
Contractor & Manpower Coordination	. Coordinate with electrical contractors and subcontractors for daily work planning . Monitor contractor manpower, skill mix, and productivity . Resolve site-level execution issues to avoid delays
Interface with Other Disciplines	. Coordinate with civil, mechanical, instrumentation, and automation teams to manage interfaces . Ensure electrical readiness aligned with equipment erection and piping completion . Avoid clashes and support integrated commissioning activities
Material Handling & Control	. Assist in planning and tracking electrical materials such as cables, panels, trays, and accessories . Verify material specifications, test reports, and storage conditions . Monitor consumption and minimize material losses and rework
Testing, PreCommissioning & Commissioning Support	. Support electrical testing including meggering, loop checking, motor solo runs, and energization activities . Coordinate with OEMs and commissioning teams during system energization . Ensure safe and sequential power-on of systems in live plant areas
Schedule & Progress Monitoring	. Track work progress against electrical schedules and milestones . Maintain daily progress reports, test records, and completion certificates . Highlight risks and delays, propose corrective actions
Cost, Measurement & Billing Support	. Assist in measurement of executed electrical works for contractor billing . Verify quantities against BOQ and approved scope . Support control of variations and extra items
Documentation & Handover	. Maintain updated drawings, cable schedules, test reports, and checklists . Support preparation of as-built documentation . Assist in final system handover to operations and maintenance teams
