Job Description

Key Result Areas (KRA)	Supporting Actions / Responsibilities
Execution of Civil Works in Brownfield Environment	. Supervise execution of civil works including foundations, structures, paving, drainage, and utilities within operating plant constraints . Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and method statements . Coordinate shutdown / tiein works with operations and maintenance teams
Quality Control & Compliance	. Monitor workmanship quality and ensure adherence to IS codes, drawings, and project standards . Conduct joint inspections with QA/QC and consultants . Ensure rectification of punch points and nonconformities within timelines
Safety & Statutory Compliance	. Enforce site safety practices as per SMS, EHS guidelines, and permittowork systems . Ensure safe excavation, formwork, scaffolding, and lifting practices . Support safety audits, toolbox talks, and incident investigations
Coordination with Contractors & Agencies	. Coordinate daily activities with civil contractors, subcontractors, and service providers . Monitor contractor manpower, equipment deployment, and productivity . Ensure availability of work fronts and resolve sitelevel issues promptly
Material Management & Control	. Assist in planning and tracking civil materials such as concrete, steel, aggregates, and construction consumables . Verify material quality, test reports, and usage as per BOQ . Control wastage and ensure proper storage and housekeeping
Schedule & Progress Monitoring	. Track daily and weekly progress against construction schedules . Maintain site registers, DPRs, and measurement records . Highlight slippages and coordinate corrective actions with contractors
PreCommissioning & Handover Support	. Ensure completion of civil works aligned with mechanical and piping readiness milestones . Support precommissioning inspections and area clearance for energization . Prepare asbuilt data and assist in final handover to operations
Interface Management with Other Disciplines	. Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams to avoid clashes . Ensure civil readiness for equipment erection, piping racks, and cable trays . Manage interface issues during commissioning phase in live plant conditions
Cost & Measurement Control	. Assist in measurement of executed quantities for bills verification . Support cost control by identifying rework and inefficiencies . Ensure work within approved scope and variation tracking
Documentation & Reporting	. Maintain uptodate site documentation including drawings, inspection records, pour cards, test results . Prepare status reports for management and project reviews . Support audits and reviews by internal and external stakeholders
