Support Soaking pit Operation

The role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and qualitydriven operation of the soaking pits by executing loading plans strictly as per the approved quality plan.This includes monitoring ingot heating cycles, coordinating timely loading and unloading based on production schedules, and ensuring parameter compliance to achieve uniform metallurgical properties.

• Achieve 100% adherence to the approved Quality Plan for soaking pit loading, heating cycles, and unloading

• Ensure defectfree ingot loading by verifying burr cleaning, visual inspection, and correct pit assignment

• Ensure 100% adherence to HIRA of all the operation jobs

• Maintain accurate and proper TC wire twisting and insertion as per SOP to achieve reliable temperature readings.

• Follow production schedules to ensure timely loading and unloading without delays affecting downstream processes.

1. Key Skills Required

• knowledge of soaking pit operation, heating cycles, temperature control, and pit parameter monitoring.

• knowledge of HIRA, SOPs, and safe work practices inside and around soaking pits.

• Knowledge of defects of ingot related to output (after Scalping),

• Ability to execute loading plans strictly as per the approved Quality Plan and production schedule

• Knowledge of soaking quality plan, scheduling,

• Skilled in TC wire twisting, preparation, and insertion as per SOP to ensure accurate thermal measurement.

• Understanding of metallurgical effects related to soaking, overheating, undersoaking, and temperature gradients.

• Knowledge of at least basics of MS-excel, PowerPoint and word

• Knowledge about 5S, basics of quality tools.

• Decisionmaking ability for start/stop of auto cycle, pit selection, and handling abnormal conditions.

• Ability to work in shifts and handle workload in fastpaced production environments.
