Job Description
The Assistant Engineer in Mechanical Maintenance for the Steel sector is responsible for supporting CCM Mechanical Maintenance Operations. This role involves ensuring the efficient functioning of mechanical systems within the steel plant, adhering to engineering standards and procedures. The candidate will be tasked with planning and executing maintenance activities to minimize downtime and enhance plant productivity. The role requires a deep understanding of plant management and the ability to implement generic planning strategies effectively. The Assistant Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations and compliance with safety standards. The position demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement in maintenance practices.
Principal Accountabilities
Develop and implement maintenance strategies to optimize equipment performancebr Coordinate with other departments to ensure alignment of maintenance activities with production goalsbr Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential issues and address them proactivelybr Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performancebr Train and mentor junior staff to enhance team capabilities and knowledge sharingbr 1 Follow and incorporate preventive maintenance schedule for the whole yearbr 2 Effective Management of all maintenance related work in shift for smooth operationbr 3 Safety of Man machine and compliance to applicable safety standards
