Job Description
The Engineer in the Mechanical Maintenance department for Support Sinter Mechanical WML is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment. This role requires a proactive approach to managing equipment availability through preventive and ongoing maintenance. The engineer will be tasked with scheduling repairs, coordinating shutdowns, and overseeing installations to minimize downtime. A key aspect of the role is to ensure that all machinery is functioning optimally and safely. The engineer will also be involved in troubleshooting and resolving maintenance issues promptly. Additionally, the role involves liaising with various departments to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
Principal Accountabilities
Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performancebr Coordinate and schedule repairs shutdowns and installations to minimize downtimebr Ensure preventive predictive and planned maintenance of machines for the year takes place as per the schedule and carry out breakdown analysisbr Identify and plan for the upgradation of equipment to improve machine availability and capabilitybr Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure compliance with safety and operational standardsbr Monitor equipment performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability
