Job Description
The Assistant Engineer for Support Coke Oven Operation WML is tasked with ensuring the efficient and safe operation of coke oven batteries within the metallics plant. This role requires a keen focus on monitoring coke production processes and maintaining operational parameters to achieve optimal performance. The engineer will coordinate closely with maintenance teams to ensure seamless operations and adherence to safety and environmental standards. A critical aspect of the role involves supporting production targets by optimizing coke quality and enhancing operational efficiency. The engineer will also be responsible for implementing process improvements and driving initiatives to enhance plant operations. This position demands a proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational issues, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. The engineer will play a pivotal role in maintaining high productivity levels and fostering a safe working environment. Additionally, the role involves preparing detailed operational reports and maintaining accurate production records for analysis and review.
Principal Accountabilities
Monitor and control coke oven battery operations to ensure stable and efficient production processesbr Ensure proper execution of charging coking pushing and quenching processes to maintain production qualitybr Maintain required coke quality and achieve production targets through effective operational managementbr Coordinate with mechanical electrical and maintenance teams to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operationsbr Monitor critical parameters such as temperature pressure and gas levels within coke ovens to ensure optimal performancebr Ensure strict compliance with safety standards environmental norms and plant procedures to maintain a safe working environmentbr Supervise shift operations and manage operational staff to ensure high levels of productivity and efficiencybr Identify operational issues and implement corrective and preventive actions to mitigate risks and enhance performancebr Prepare comprehensive daily operational reports and maintain accurate production records for analysis and reviewbr Support process improvement initiatives and drive efficiency enhancement projects to optimize plant operations
