Job Description
Responsible for managing daily operational activities of the coke oven battery in the metallics plant. The role includes supervising charging, coking, pushing, and quenching operations to ensure continuous production and high-quality coke output. The engineer works closely with cross-functional teams to maintain operational reliability, ensure safety compliance, and optimize plant performance while minimizing downtime and operational losses.
Principal Accountabilities
Monitor and control coke oven battery operations to ensure stable and efficient production processesbrEnsure proper execution of charging coking pushing and quenching processes to maintain production qualitybrMaintain required coke quality and achieve production targets through effective operational managementbrCoordinate with mechanical electrical and maintenance teams to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operationsbrMonitor critical parameters such as temperature pressure and gas levels within coke ovens to ensure optimal performancebrEnsure strict compliance with safety standards environmental norms and plant procedures to maintain a safe working environmentbrSupervise shift operations and manage operational staff to ensure high levels of productivity and efficiencybrIdentify operational issues and implement corrective and preventive actions to mitigate risks and enhance performancebrPrepare comprehensive daily operational reports and maintain accurate production records for analysis and reviewbrSupport process improvement initiatives and drive efficiency enhancement projects to optimize plant operations
