Job Description
Officer – Stores will assist in managing inventory, material receipt, storage, and issue of raw materials, consumables, and finished goods. The role aims to develop practical knowledge of store operations in a steel pipe manufacturing environment. To develop competent store professionals by providing hands-on exposure to inventory management, material handling, and coordination in a steel pipe manufacturing facility.
Principal Accountabilities
Maintain optimal stock levels of raw materials tools and finished goods to support uninterrupted operationsbr Track and manage the flow of incoming and outgoing inventory items with precision and accuracybr Conduct regular stock audits to ensure inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies promptlybr Verify goods received against purchase orders ensuring all documentation such as GRN invoices and delivery challans are accurate and completebr Coordinate the efficient dispatch of materials to meet production and operational requirementsbr Maintain accurate and uptodate records using manual methods or ERP systems to support inventory managementbr Ensure proper storage conditions including temperature control labeling and organization to maintain product integritybr Adhere to safety and compliance guidelines to ensure a safe working environment and prevent accidentsbr Collaborate effectively with procurement production and accounts teams to communicate stock shortages or excesses and facilitate smooth operationsbr Implement loss prevention measures to protect inventory from damage theft or misplacement
