The Manager – Supply Planning will be a key member of the Supply Chain Centre of Excellence (COE), responsible for ensuring the right product reaches the right place at the right time across all trade channels — General Trade (GT), Modern Trade (MT), Quick Commerce (QC), and Online B2B. The role demands a strong blend of analytical rigour, cross-functional collaboration, and system led thinking to balance demand volatility with supply reliability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Demand & Supply Balancing
- Reconcile brand/channel sales forecasts with manufacturing capacity to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
- Work with planning and sales teams to identify supply gaps, build consensus on trade-off decisions, and drive timely escalations.
- Maintain weekly and monthly supply coverage dashboards across all trade channels.
2. Inventory Optimisation
- Determine and monitor optimal inventory norms (DOH/safety stock) by SKU and channel to sustain high service levels.
- Identify slow-moving, excess, or near-expiry inventory (SLOB) and drive corrective redistribution or liquidation plans.
- Track and report Fill Rate performance (FR%) by SKU, channel, and region; conduct structured RCA for drops.
3. Production Scheduling & Procurement Support
- Prepare short-term and medium-term production schedules in coordination with manufacturing and procurement teams.
- Build and maintain rolling RM/PM availability projections against confirmed production plans; track ATP (Available-to-Promise) at plant level and flag coverage gaps against defined safeguard windows (lead time + safety buffer).
- Drive rolling PO projections targeting defined DOH norms at open-of-month, applying MOQ ceilings and RM/PM procurement lead times; support vendor allocation decisions across packaging material suppliers based on rate, supply reliability, capacity, and testing status.
4. S&OP / IBP Process Ownership
- Actively participate in the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) / Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycle.
- Prepare pre-reads, supply risk summaries, and consensus demand inputs for S&OP reviews with leadership.
- Drive alignment between demand, supply, and financial plan across the planning horizon.
5. Scenario Planning & Risk Management
- Model what-if scenarios for promotions, new product launches (NPLs), seasonal spikes, and supply disruptions.
- Maintain a critical packs and risk tracker across key sub-categories; surface prioritisation
- recommendations to stakeholders.
- Support MRP transition and SKU rationalisation decisions with data-backed analyses.
6. Reporting & Analytics
- Own weekly Fill Rate View reports (GT, MT, QC, Non-QC, Net B2B Ecom) shared with operations and leadership.
- Build and maintain supply planning dashboards, drop RCA reports, and inventory health trackers.
- Leverage tools such as Excel, SAP/ERP systems, and BI platforms for data extraction, modelling, and visualisation.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA in Operations / Supply Chain Management preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 5–7 years of progressive experience in Supply Chain Management, with a focus on supply planning or demand-supply balancing.
- Prior exposure to large FMCG companies or high-growth consumer startups strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with S&OP processes, inventory management, and multi-channel distribution environments.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (modelling, dashboards, scenario tools).
- Working knowledge of SAP / ERP platforms; familiarity with planning tools (e.g., SAP APO, Kinaxis,
- or equivalent) is a plus.
- Data visualisation and reporting skills; experience with Power BI or similar tools is advantageous.
