Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop and manage accurate demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and cross-functional inputs, while continuously improving forecast accuracy
- Create and execute supply plans and coordinate optimal availability of finished goods, maintaining a balance between stock availability.
- Align production schedules with demand forecasts and closely coordinate with Purchase for timely availability of raw and packaging materials to avoid disruptions.
- Monitor inventory across warehouses and distribution channels, ensuring consistent product availability and efficient stock allocation
- Prepare and analyze Daily Sales Reports (DSR) to track performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights for business decisions
- Track and improve fill rate and service levels by identifying order gaps and coordinating with logistics and warehouse teams for better fulfillment
- Manage end-to-end import and procurement planning, including order placement, shipment tracking, and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Procurement, Logistics, and Production teams, and actively participate in S&OP planning.
- Leverage data analytics to drive forecasting accuracy, improve supply chain efficiency, and maintain dashboards and MIS reports
- Identify supply chain risks and implement contingency plans to ensure business continuity and minimize disruptions
Desired skills/experience:
- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in demand planning, supply planning, or production planning, preferably within the FMCG industry
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes including forecasting, procurement, inventory management, and distribution
- Hands-on experience in S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) and demand-supply balancing
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, forecasting models, data analysis) and working knowledge of Power BI or similar tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset
- Effective stakeholder management with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities under pressure
- Experience in handling imports, vendor coordination, and logistics planning is an added advantage
- Proactive approach with strong ownership and accountability for deliverables
