Position: Assistant Manager - Planning
Working Days: 5 Days
Work Timings: 10am -7pm
Experience Required: 4-7 years in FMCG industry
Client: Organic food products D2C Brand.
The Assistant Manager Planning will be responsible for driving demand, supply, and inventory planning processes to ensure operational efficiency and high service levels. The role directly owns core planning KPIs such as Forecast Accuracy, Inventory Turnover, Stockout Rate, Fill Rate, and On-Time Delivery (OTD).
This position requires strong analytical skills, cross-functional coordination, and a deep understanding of planning tools and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Demand Planning
Drive monthly forecasting cycles with Sales, Marketing & Supply teams.
Monitor Forecast Accuracy and implement corrective actions to reduce error rates.
Analyse demand patterns, seasonality, and market trends for accurate planning.
2. Inventory Planning & Control
Track Warehouse-wise Inventory Turnover Rate and develop action plans to improve turns.
Monitor aging inventory and prevent overstocking/understocking.
Ensure optimal safety stock and reorder level planning.
3. Supply Planning
Coordinate with production, procurement, and logistics to ensure timely replenishment.
Monitor Stockout Rate and drive root-cause analysis for any service failures.
Maintain high Fill Rate through effective demand-supply alignment.
4. Distribution & Delivery Planning
Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure high On-Time Delivery (OTD) to warehouses and customers.
Track order fulfilment performance and resolve bottlenecks across the supply chain.
5. Data & Reporting
Generate weekly/monthly dashboards for planning KPIs.
Identify trends and provide actionable insights for leadership review.
Use planning tools/ERP systems for forecasting and inventory visibility.
