Job Title: Supply Chain Manager

About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize the end-to-end supply chain operations. The role involves managing procurement, inventory planning, warehousing, logistics, vendor management, and demand forecasting to ensure efficient product availability while maintaining cost efficiency and service excellence. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical, operational, and leadership skills with experience in supply chain management within manufacturing, furniture, retail, or e-commerce industries.
Responsibilities And Ownership
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Manage end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory, warehousing, transportation, and distribution.
- Collaborate with Category, Procurement, Operations, Sales, and Finance teams to ensure seamless supply planning and execution.
- Forecast demand and develop inventory plans to maintain optimum stock levels while minimizing excess inventory.
- Monitor inventory health, stock ageing, and replenishment cycles.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, logistics partners, and third-party service providers.
- Negotiate commercial terms and service-level agreements with vendors and logistics partners.
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials and finished goods.
- Optimize transportation, warehousing, and distribution processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Track and analyze supply chain KPIs, including inventory turnover, fill rate, OTIF (On-Time In-Full), procurement lead time, logistics costs, and vendor performance.
- Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation plans to ensure business continuity.
- Drive continuous process improvements through automation, data analysis, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and statutory requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team to achieve operational excellence.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management, procurement, logistics, and inventory planning.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Expertise in demand forecasting and inventory optimization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and supply chain planning tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership, planning, and decision-making capabilities.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is an added advantage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA or PGDM in Operations/Supply Chain is preferred.
- 6–10 years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, or Operations.
- Experience in the furniture, manufacturing, retail, e-commerce, or consumer durables industry is preferred.
