Role Overview
We are looking for a result-oriented Supply Chain & Global Logistics Manager to lead our end-to-end supply chain for the international market. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring our products reach global customers (US, UK, EU, UAE, Australia etc.) efficiently, cost-effectively, and on time. Unlike traditional roles, this position focuses on leveraging integrated logistics partners and technology-driven shipping solutions rather than manual CHA-led processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Global Logistics & Fulfillment
- Manage day-to-day international shipping operations through global logistics partners (e.g., FedEx, DHL, UPS, Aramex) and e-commerce aggregators.
- Optimize the First Mile (warehouse to port) and Last Mile (international hub to customer door) delivery experience.
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Transit Time, Shipping Cost per Order, and Delivery Success Rate.
- Handle export documentation: invoice, packing list, shipping bill, coordination with the logistics partners
- Manage relationships with logistics partners and ensure SLA adherence
- Track shipments, resolve delays, and provide real-time updates to internal teams
- Track logistics KPIs and prepare MIS reports
2. Strategic Partner Management
- Onboard and manage relationships with 3PL (Third Party Logistics) and 4PL providers, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Negotiate freight rates and service terms to maintain a competitive edge in global markets.
- Evaluate new tech-enabled logistics platforms to automate label generation, tracking, and manifest management.
3. Inventory & Demand Planning
- Coordinate with the production/sourcing team to ensure stock availability for global demand spikes (e.g., Black Friday, Cyber Monday).
- Oversee inventory health across domestic warehouses and potential international fulfillment centers (like Amazon FBA, Walmart WFS or 3PLs abroad).
- Support 3PL/marketplace fulfilment shipments and stock reconciliation
4. Cross-Border Compliance (Tech-Enabled)
- Ensure all shipments comply with international trade regulations, including HSN code mapping and digital documentation (Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists).
- Manage digital customs clearance processes provided by logistics partners to ensure zero-hold ups at international borders.
- Oversee Returns & Reverse Logistics, ensuring a seamless re-import process where applicable.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 4–7 years in Supply Chain/Logistics, specifically within the D2C or E-commerce sector with global exposure.
- Technical Savvy: Proficiency in using e-commerce shipping platforms (e.g., Shiprocket, Delhivery, or proprietary ERPs).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of GST/IGST for exports, MEIS/RoDTEP schemes, and international shipping incoterms (DAP, DDP), customs and export documentation
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to use data (Excel/BI tools) to identify bottlenecks and cost-saving opportunities.
- Communication: Excellent negotiation and communication skills to deal with international partners across different time zones.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing Amazon Global Selling or Shopify International workflows.
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or International Business (MBA preferred).
