About the ESRE Team
Join the Enterprise Support & Reliability Engineering (ESRE) – Supply Chain Support group. We're dedicated to delivering frictionless, always-on supply chain services, monitoring production systems, detecting issues early, and resolving operational challenges. As Manager, Supply Chain in ESRE, you'll drive continuous improvement and ensure robust performance in a high-transactional, global eCommerce environment. This role demands deep expertise in Order Management Systems (IBM Sterling), Warehouse Management, and retail supply chain applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a cross-skilled team of SREs supporting eCommerce platforms, IBM Sterling OMS, Manhattan WMS (or equivalent), custom microservices (inventory promising, sourcing, payments, order management), and UIs for Custom Drop Ship, Care Center, Returns, and MDM.
- Provide technical/functional leadership as a Supply Chain SME in product design, solutioning, deployments, business reviews, and 3rd-party vendor evaluations.
- Strategically assess current state, build roadmaps for operational efficiency, feature supportability, and high stability.
- Coach teams hands-on to resolve issues, identify patterns, and prevent repeats; manage cross-team leadership communications to close priority issues.
- Collaborate with Engineering, DevOps, Product, and Business teams to boost performance, uptime, workflows, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
- Foster urgency on customer issues, apply automation for monitoring/alerting/resolution, and establish SLAs, runbooks, triage trees, and accountability.
- Create real-time feedback loops with dev/product/business teams; drive stability for peak volumes and events.
- Mentor engineers, conduct performance appraisals, and direct cross-functional teams with motivational leadership.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 10+ years hands-on in technology (design, dev, testing, support), with 3+ years managing SRE/Operations teams in eCommerce, supply chain, or enterprise environments.
- Proven expertise in OMS (IBM Sterling or equivalent) and WMS (Manhattan, IBM, or leading solutions), plus integrated supply chain apps.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, order/inventory management, logistics, and high-volume eCommerce optimization.
- Hands-on with monitoring/observability (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, Datadog, New Relic) and incident tools (PagerDuty, Opsgenie) for RCA.
- Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science or related field.
- Experience building/evolving teams, coaching on tech/process improvements, and scaling omni-channel operations.
