Role Overview
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Supply Chain Coordinator (Import & Export) to manage cross-border logistics operations. This role ensures smooth, compliant, and timely movement of goods while optimizing cost, efficiency, and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Logistics & Shipment Management
- Coordinate end-to-end import/export shipments across borders
- Ensure timely delivery in alignment with lead times and business requirements
- Work closely with 3PL partners, transporters, and clearing agents
- Documentation & Compliance
- Manage customs documentation and ensure accuracy (invoices, declarations, tariff codes)
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations and trade agreements
- Maintain audit-ready records and documentation
- Inventory & Planning
- Align with planning and factory teams for stock availability
- Support inventory planning and demand fulfilment
- Monitor pending orders and ensure timely execution
- Cost & Performance Management
- Track freight costs, duties, VAT, and logistics budgets
- Identify cost optimization opportunities
- Monitor vendor and forwarder performance
- Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare shipment reports, sales reports, and cost analysis
- Perform reconciliation of suppliers and customers
- Conduct lead-time and exception analysis
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
- 45 years of experience in supply chain/logistics (FMCG preferred)
- Strong knowledge of import-export processes & customs regulations
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills
- Ability to work according to EMEA time zone (12pm to 9pm)
- Willingness to travel to Nigeria, Ghana, Egypt and South Africa as required.
