Experience:

5 years of experience of Supplier quality management for #Railway, #Automobile or similar industry for #Sheet_Metal_Fabrication parts involving #Welding.

Knowledge of Sheet metal fabrication (#Welding, #Laser_cutting, #Bending, Machining, Passivation or #painting_processes)

Experience and understanding of ISO 9001 (#IRIS knowledge is desirable).

User knowledge of #SAP / #MRP systems.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Able to build supplier relationships.

Job Summary

The CAF India Supplier Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that supplier products and processes meet CAF & its customers quality standards. It will be essential to work closely with cross-functional teams of Engineering, sourcing, activation, project planning and quality on day-to-day basis to plan and perform supplier audits, In-process inspections, FAI, Regular inspections and Pre-dispatch inspections of the parts developed by suppliers for global projects and different Business Units of CAF Group. Frequent travel to different suppliers will be essential as per business need.

The CAF India Supplier Quality Engineer will also be responsible for carrying out welding process reviews and homologation audits, therefore specialized knowledge of various types of welding processes is a requirement for the position.

Key Responsibilities and Challenges

• Define the quality requirements, including but not limited to general processes and special processes, suppliers are required to meet for products and processes.
• Define the plan for #FAI and audits with the supplier and maintain day to day communication to update the plan.
• Conduct supplier audits for either a first-time supplier approval (homologation), a renewal audit, or in-process audit to try and address a non-conformance detected.
• Work with the supplier to expedite root cause analysis, define and implementation of proper corrective action.
• Maintain close coordination with various departments in CAF group, Third party #auditors/#inspectors and #supplier(s) at all times.

Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Qualifications / Candidate Requirements/ Experience / Skills.

A Bachelor's degree in #Mechanical or #Production engineering

EN15085 Certified #welding engineer

ISO 9001 or #IRIS training accreditation
