Role: Supplier Manager - Factory, Capex and Logistics

About The Team And The Role
The Indirect Sourcing, Supply Chain team at Ather is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement of factory commodities, including CAPEX, OPEX, and professional services, to ensure seamless manufacturing operations.
This role is for a Supplier Manager who will lead factory-level supply chain initiatives, manage strategic supplier relationships, and oversee technical and commercial compliance to drive organizational objectives.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute supplier management initiatives aligned with organizational priorities and supply chain policies.
- Oversee indirect commodities for the factory, including CAPEX, OPEX, Civil & MEP consultants, and managed services.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and HQ for strategic sourcing, performance reviews, and key project implementations.
- Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals at the factory through effective delegation and coaching.
- Review critical technical and commercial documentation, including contracts, GPAs, and NDAs.
- Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) and develop actionable improvement plans with suppliers and internal teams.
- Stratify the supplier base to design customized engagement programs and proactively mitigate supply chain risks.
- Monitor supplier performance across technology, quality, and fulfillment to ensure successful execution of engagement plans.
Experience And Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in engineering or an MBA in Supply Chain Management
- 8-10 years of relevant functional experience in handling Indirect commodities procurement
Must Have Competencies
- Strategic sourcing and procurement management across CAPEX, OPEX, and professional services.
- Comprehensive understanding of supplier value chain mapping and Zero-based costing methodologies.
- Execution of end-to-end program management focusing on the pillars of time, cost, and quality.
- Proficiency in spend analysis, commercial negotiations, and the application of INCOTERMS.
Good to Have Competencies
- Experience in managing procurement and supply chain requirements for Greenfield projects.
- Ability to draft and review complex technical-commercial contracts, GPAs, and NDAs.
- Skill in designing customized supplier engagement programs and strategic stratification models.
- Proactive risk identification and mitigation within the automotive or aerospace manufacturing landscape.
