Roles & Responsibilities Supplier Evaluation and Selection
- Evaluate potential elastomer suppliers based on quality standards, capabilities, and production capacity
- Collaborate with procurement teams to select vendors that meet the company s requirements and standards
Supplier Auditing
- Conduct regular audits of elastomer suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
- Identify areas for improvement and work with suppliers to implement corrective actions
Performance Management
- Monitor the performance of elastomer suppliers through key performance indicators (KPIs) such as quality, delivery, and cost
- Develop and maintain supplier scorecards to track performance over time
Quality Assurance
- Establish quality control processes for incoming elastomer materials
- Work closely with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement preventive measures
Technical Expertise
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of elastomer materials, properties, and processing techniques to provide technical support to suppliers and internal teams
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in elastomer technology
Eligibility Criteria Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in mechanical engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
- Master s degree preferred
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in supplier engineering or quality engineering roles, with a specific focus on elastomers
Mandatory Skills
- Proficiency in evaluating elastomer materials, understanding their properties, and familiarity with processing techniques
- Experience in supplier evaluation, auditing, and performance management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
