YOUR TASKS
Overview
To lead the Optical design team, responsible for the QCT of the whole team's deliverables and as well as development of the team in a nutshell.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning
- Planning of the resources based on the business needs and recruitment and training of the same.
- Resource planning
- Strategic planning of placement of group from the business needs of the organization.
- Technology Development & Innovation
- For the Team: Identify, analyze, qualify, and release new optical and opto mechatronic technologies.
- Support the team in strategizing the technology road map and ways and means of achieving the same with the Projects.
- Testing, Validation & Analysis
- Enhance the validation experience and knowledge of the team to handle projects remotely for the network with minimum support onsite to execute the projects.
- Establish a correlation from reality to virtuality and use the inference for optimizing the development.
- Documentation & Specification Management
- Prepare and maintain requirement specifications, design guidelines, and process documents for optical systems.
- Document simulation results, technical evaluations, and system behavior.
- Create and deliver internal/external technical presentations and reports.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with internal and external teams within development, purchasing, manufacturing, quality, plants, and suppliers.
- Support global project teams in integrating optical technologies into serial development and production.
- Participate in international working groups, committees, and expert networks.
- Compliance & IP Management
- Check for possible infringements of industrial property rights and collaborate with patent teams when needed.
- Analyze and ensure adherence to international standards and customer specifications.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Optics, Physics, Optomechatronics, Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 10 + years of experience in Product development with Optical knowledge will be an added advantage,
- Ability to lead tasks independently within technical projects.
- Effective communication skills in English for international collaboration
- Good leadership skills.
